As Mr. Lichtman’s recovery specialist, he asked if I would I apprise his readers as to his health and welfare.

As many of you who have followed Jim’s commentaries over the past eighteen months know, he has spent an ungodly amount of time examining and writing about President Trump.

It became obvious, to both Jim and treatment specialists at The Joseph R. McCarthy Center for Demagogue Addiction, that all this attention has taken a toll, as he states in a letter he wished me to post:

Dear Readers,

It has been an honor to serve as your ethics specialist alerting you to the many unethical actions of President Trump and his Administration. Your confidence in me has blessed me personally and has inspired my efforts to Make America Ethical, Again (#MAEA).

However, the unrelenting attacks on me personally, my family, including my dog “Nietzsche,” are unprecedented and have taken a sizable toll on all of us.

As I prepare to spend the next five weeks in treatment, I want you to know that, God willing, we will prevail, in peace and freedom from fear, and in true health, through the purity and essence of our natural fluids.

Your Ethical Friend, Jim Lichtman

As you can clearly read, Jim needs help. The next few weeks will be critical to his recovery and peace of mind.

Jim asked me to tell his dedicated readers that among the sessions he will be engaged in are:

The Five Stages of Trump Addiction – Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression and Acceptance. (Jim remains stuck on 1-4).

Just Breathe – how to detach from all things Trump.

“It’s Not a Lie, If You Believe It. – guided by George Costanza, this lively class makes clear that just because someone repeatedly lies, does not necessarily mean they are lying if they, themselves, believe it.

Serenity, Now! – learning to let go and let Congress (or the Deep State) take care of it.

Finally, Jim wanted me to select and pass along this list of past commentaries for readers to revisit until his return after Labor Day.

Respectfully,

Dr. F. Ake, Chief Addiction Recovery Specialist, Joseph R. McCarthy Center for Demagogue Addiction, LLP

Hope in a Time of Uncertaintyfrom Dec. 2009; one of Jim’s best, still timely.

Let’s Learn to Be Americans, Again – Feb. 2018; with the clear division in the country, Jim reminds us that, despite our differences, we are all Americans.

The Road to Washington – Mar. 2018; Jim talks about Republican Will Hurd and Democrat “Beto” O’Rourke who rent a car and live-stream their trip back to Washington, with a little biparkingship… I mean, bipartisanship along the way.

How Does the Country Come Together? Conclusion — May 2018; Jim apologizes for branding Trump supporters as “woefully ignorant” and vows to avoid such labeling in the future.

Trump Pardons Frankenstein, Wolf Man — June 2018; Jim scoops all media, (including FOX), with this incredible Breaking News! How? Everybody else was covering former North Korean intelligence Chief Kim Yong-chol’s White House visit.

Truth, Justice and the American Way — Jim’s 2018 Fourth of July tribute for all of us to remember who we are and what we stand for.

Comments

  1. Finally, Jim admits that his obsession over Trump and Trump’s leadership (or lack thereof) of our great country, the United States of America, is causing harm to himself and his loved ones. I can only imagine how troubling the related personal attacks on Jim, his family, and his dog (whom I have not met) have been.

But common sense does prevail and as Jim stated, he will begin treatment for this unnecessary obsession. We can all look forward to hearing more from him when he returns from his much-needed break.

  2. As a Treatment Addiction Therapist, you are right on Jim! The doctor has requested Aretha Franklin to sing “R-E-S-T” for you during the month of August.
