Eight Social Rules—

1. Silence in Arguments—Not every opinion needs a reply.

2. The calmest voice controls the room—power doesn’t shout.

3. Gossip once, lose trust forever—people remember.

4. Ask more, talk less—Silence is golden.

5. Praise in public, correct in private—Respect goes viral.

6. Facing an implacable individual, mirror their energy, not their chaos—Stay in control.

Amendment—Challenge people in powerful positions who dominate and change the rule of law and the ethics of conduct—’nuff said.

7. Interrupting equals weak self-control—Let them finish.

8. Watch first, talk later—Smart people speak last.

Eight More Social Rules—

1. Don’t “one-up”—lift up. Let others have their moment.

2. Private means private. What’s shared in trust stays in trust.

3. Be on time. Be respectful.

4. Phones down, eyes up. Presence is the new power.

5. Listen to understand, not to reply.

6. Don’t fix—feel. Sometimes people just need to be heard.

7. Respect silence. Not every pause needs filling.

8. Treat others the way you wish to be treated–follow the Golden Rule.

In a noisy world, grace is strength, restraint is power, and character always leaves the deepest mark.

I’m giving everyone a break from my own noise through Memorial Day. I will return on Tuesday.
